The Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada

Dear CRPEG members,

The latest negotiations were held from July 22 to 25, 2024.

The company expressed readiness to start discussing monetary matters, so we presented our pay analysis that was prepared by our PIPSC senior research analyst, John Anderson. We also provided the company with our proposed changes to scale and merit based on the results of the pay analysis. CRPEG intends to make additional monetary proposals in future sessions to address other monetary items such as improvements to benefits.

In addition to starting discussions on pay, we discussed tweaks to leave, arbitration, workforce adjustment, career & professional development, recent graduates, and performance appraisals. We also worked to adapt the pension language to reflect our new CAAT pension plan.

CRPEG also continues to work on a sick leave proposal in collaboration with other unions.

Both parties remain committed to effective and thorough negotiations. The next session is scheduled for September 4–6, 2024.

We value your feedback and input. Please reach out to us at crpeg_negotiations@pipsc.ca with any questions or comments.

In solidarity,
