Your Bargaining Team met with Treasury Board representatives on April 25, 26, & 27, 2023 in Gatineau, Quebec. The Employer showed an openness to the issues the Group brought to the table, by asking clarifying questions to try and better understand our position. There is strong interest on both sides in continuing the open dialogue. Monetary proposals, which include your pay increases, will be presented at a later date.

We were able to make progress this session by signing off on a few more administrative changes.  We also began the discussions around some of our other proposals such as improvements to various Leaves With or Without Pay and employee wellness. Bargaining on these and other issues will continue at our next negotiation dates, scheduled for June 12, 13 & 14. The parties will also be meeting between official bargaining sessions to continue the work of the gender inclusive task force to modernize the language in the collective agreement.

In solidarity with our colleagues at PSAC, the bargaining team joined other PIPSC members at 90 Elgin Street in Ottawa, the workplace of Mona Fortier, the President of the Treasury Board.
