NOTICE OF THE 2022 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE CFIA-S&A PRAIRIES SUBGROUP

To members of the CFIA-S&A Prairies Subgroup

You are invited to attend the first Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the CFIA-S&A Prairies Subgroup (AGM 2022). Join us to learn more about the Subgroup and how it was formed. Meet the founding members and find out what is planned for the upcoming year.   

Date: Wednesday, October 19, 2022

Time: 5:30 PM - Alberta / Saskatchewan

          6:30 PM – Manitoba

The meeting will be approximately 1 hour in duration.

Location: This will be a virtual meeting delivered to you by the Zoom Meeting platform.

We are pleased to mark our first AGM by inviting Fred Jamieson (President, S&A Group) as our featured guest speaker and meeting chairperson.  

Every member who registers and attends the AGM will receive a complementary gift that includes a copy of the book, Leading Progress: The Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada 1920 – 2020 by Jason Russell as well as other great giveaways from the Subgroup. Door prizes are also available to be won.

Elections of the Subgroup Executive:

All executive positions. If you are interested nominating a member of the Subgroup for an executive position, you may do so in writing by emailing Ryan Sefton of the Elections Committee at rtsefton@pipsc.ca by October 12, 2022. Written nominations must include:

  • the candidate’s full name,
  • the candidate’s email address and phone number,
  • the candidate’s city of work or residency,
  • the position for which the candidate is running.

The elections committee will verify all nominations. Where applicable, candidates may campaign for a position in accordance with Institute policy. As per the Subgroup Constitution and By-Laws, nominations will also be taken from the floor of the AGM.
