He has been an integral member of the BCFNHA Group Executive for three years as a Member at Large, Secretary, and Treasurer. He is also an executive member of the PIPSC BC-Yukon Region and Vancouver Branch, and a member of the PIPSC Bylaws and Policies Committee. He has organized multiple member engagement events and Lunch and Learns for our Group. As a Steward, he has helped several members resolve workplace issues, and was recently recognized as the BC-Yukon Region Steward of the Year. Nikhil’s goal is to now better represent and advocate for our members in the broader PIPSC union as Group President. His vision is to continue to increase member engagement, awareness, and organization to ensure we keep improving our working conditions over the long term. This includes better coordination around Occupational Health and Safety, representation at various levels of PIPSC, and advanced bargaining preparation. He also intends to prioritize furthering cultural safety and reconciliation in our Group’s work. Nikhil is grateful to be nominated for Group President this year and encourages all members to participate in the election process.

Treasurer Priyanka Prabakaran (Acclaimed)
Currently I am a member at large on the BCFNHA executive. Over my term I have learned  quite a bit and have participated within union activities. I believe my time as a member at large has given me a good foundation and I am ready to support my executive team and the members in another capacity as treasurer.
Member-At- Large April Coulson
I am a mother, sister, daughter, and grandmother and a Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in/Han Nation citizen, with English and Polish settler ancestry. My family and I are grateful to be guests on the unceded and traditional lands of the Syilx Okanagan people, where we have lived for the past 13 years. I live and raise my family on these lands, and I recognize this land as a living relative, one that holds stories, teachings, and responsibilities. The foundation of my practice is connection, relationships, vulnerability, truth, respect, and openness.I have worked as a Registered Nurse for 11 years, with experience in acute care, residential care, and home and community care. I am grateful and humbled to have served a First Nations community as a Home Care Nurse where the gifts of connection, love, and reciprocity continue to guide my personal and professional growth.I now work alongside First Nations community nurses and FNHA programs as a Home Health Practice Consultant, and my time as an Occupational Health Nurse has added a valuable lens of staff wellness and support to my practice. I am also grateful and honoured to walk alongside students at UBC Okanagan as an Adjunct Professor in the School of Health and Exercise Sciences, where I am able to nurture my passion for education and mentorship.
I am putting my name forward for the PIPSC Member at Large role because I believe in collaborative leadership, transparency, and creating a workplace grounded in integrity and belonging. My practice has always centred on relationships, advocacy, and ensuring people feel seen, heard, and supported.A core value I bring to this role is recognizing lived experience as a vital source of wisdom. Our members carry diverse histories, strengths, and challenges, and I believe these experiences should guide how we support one another and how we shape our collective direction.I would be honoured to serve in a way that reflects our shared values and responsibilities to one another.

My name is Victoria Stevens, I originate from the Ktunaxa Nation. I have been employed with FNHA since 2024, as the Serious Illness Chronic Conditions Social Worker.
