NOTICE OF 2026 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING AND

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS 

 

 

When: Thursday, June 4, 2026, 5:00 p.m.

 

Where: 3 brasseurs du Centropolis, 2900 Av. Pierre-Péladeau, Laval, H7T 2Y5

 

You are cordially invited to attend the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Laval Branch and the AFS Laval Sub-Group.

At the meeting, we’ll be discussing a number of topics.  We will have the election of Branch Executive positions, the election of the Sub-Group Chair, a report on the past year’s activities and future plans.

To participate, you must RSVP at the following address before May 30, 2026: baga2103@yahoo.fr. Please note that the meal and two drinks will be paid for the first 40 people to register.

LAVAL BRANCH AND SUB-GROUP ELECTION NOTICE

To all members of the Laval Branch and Sub-Group

In accordance with the Laval Branch By-laws, all executive positions (maximum 11) must be filled by election. Elected candidates will take office on June 4, 2026, and remain in office until June 2028.

The position of president of the Laval Sub-Group is also up for election.  The elected candidate will take office on June 4, 2026, and remain in office until June 2027.

To stand for election, candidates must be PIPSC members in the region served by the Laval Branch.  For the position of Sub-Group President, you must be a member of the Laval Sub-Group and be a steward or about to become one.

To become a candidate, please send the attached form to the election directors: Brenson Barthélus (bbarthelus@pipsc.ca) ou Kabeya Kankolongo  (kabeya.kankolongo@gmail.com).

 

If voting is required, then an election will take place at the AGM.

The Branch Executive is made up of a President, a Vice-President, a Secretary, a Treasurer and Members-at-Large (maximum 7). The term of office shall be two (2) years.

The duties of the Laval Branch and the Sub-Group President, including those of the positions listed above, are set out in section 6.2 of the Laval Sub-Group and the Laval Branch By-laws.
