Your Bargaining Team met with the employer for the first time in this round of bargaining.
- We met virtually with the employer on May 22 to exchange proposals before our in-person meetings.
- Our in-person meetings on June 2, 3, and 4 were opened with a welcome by Elder Syexwáliya at FNHA’s Alberni office. The Elder encouraged both sides to work together in a spirit of respect and collaboration.
- We met virtually again from June 9 to 11 to continue bargaining and exchange monetary proposals.
So far, we’ve made good progress on most of the non-monetary proposals through productive discussions.
There is still work to do on the remaining proposals, but we are very pleased with the discussions so far and the shared understanding at the bargaining table.
We’re preparing for another round of in-person bargaining from July 21 to 23. Our goal is to finalize our discussions, complete a package of proposals that both parties can support, and work toward a tentative agreement.
