The NUREG Bargaining Team met with CNSC Management on February 7th to 9th, 2017. The Team made reasonable progress in dealing with non-monetary issues that we have been seeking over the last three years. The parties signed off on several issues.
The Team presented a comprehensive package to the employer which included improvements on compassionate care and hours of work. Our pay proposal is 3% per year in each of 4 years, plus restructuring of the salary grid that would benefit ALL members. The employer presented their pay package of 1.25% in each year of four years.
The next bargaining session is scheduled for April 10th to 11th, 2017 and we remain hopeful that we will reach a fair settlement.
