  1. Branch Executive Meeting Minutes April 23, 2025

Emailed Branch executives April 23, 2025 meeting minutes. Reviewed minutes. Approved minutes. Moved by Mauro Defeudis. Seconded by Amanda Hong. Carried.

  1. Planning Winter Social

Third annual joint social event between the Vancouver CRA branch, AFS Vancouver Subgroup and AFS Burnaby Subgroup.

Venue: Rev’s Bowling on Lougheed Hwy in Burnaby

Dates: Dec 4 and 5, 2025

Pizza and pop.

Prizes: Allocated $500 for prizes. Lauren Kunimoto will get 50 $10 gift cards (25 from Tim Horton’s and 25 from Starbucks Coffee).

  1. Issues Forwarded to Regional Council re: National AGM

Waiting for resolutions to be posted on PIPSC website. Resolutions should be posted by end of October 2025. To be discussed when executives have a chance to review them.

  1. Branch By-law Amendments

Model Branch Constitution and By-Laws were approved by the Board on Jan 24, 2024. Compared to our current branch by-laws, the model recommends a number of revisions and additions, most appear to be minor, but each of us may have differing opinions which can be discussed at our next meeting.

Need to align elections to by-law at upcoming Branch AGM as follows:

President, Treasurer and 3 Members-at-Large 2 year positions ending in 2028.

Vice-President, Secretary and 3 Members-at-Large 3 year positions ending in 2029.

Venue: Lee Garden Seafood Restaurant in Burnaby. Amanda Hong will make arrangements.
