The 2026 PIPSC NCR Statistics Canada Branch AGM was attended by 25 members – see attached attendance sheet.
Don whiting served as the representative for the Elections Committee.
1. Approval of the Agenda
The agenda, prepared by the Interim Executive team, was approved by PIPSC.
2. Introduction of the current Branch Executive
Don Whiting introduced the members of the current interim executives

3. Review of the minutes from the last AGM held in 2019:
N/A, covered in the speech provided by Don whiting, given that this is the first AGM held since 2019.
4. Annual Financial report and approval of budget:
- This marks the first AGM held since 2019, The branch received funding from PIPSC prior to the COVID‑19 pandemic.
- No expenditures have been made from these funds since their receipt.
- After six years of monthly service fees, the account balance remains above.
- At present, the funds are not accessible due to the absence of both a President and a Treasurer, which are required signing authorities.
- The Branch is taking steps to fill these positions in order to restore access to the account.
5. Proposed Changes to By-laws (if any)
No Changes.
6. Elections and Report of the Elections Committee
- Don Whiting opened the meeting with an English introduction focused on the shift in executive leadership from 2019 to 2026.
- The financial report noted that the previous budget allocation has been adjusted.
- Elections were held to appoint new executives: the President, Member‑at‑Large, and Treasurer will each serve two‑year terms, while the Vice President and Secretary will serve one‑year terms.

7. Other Business including Q & A from the members.
- Sub‑groups remain active and need nominees for their re‑establishment.
- Following the elections, the primary agenda will focus on team‑building initiatives and community‑oriented programs, including WFA.
- Future meetings will adopt a hybrid format to better connect members across regions, including those located outside the NCR.
