Hello everyone,

We are inviting engineers, architects and land surveyors who are members of the NR Place de Ville Sub-Group to attend their Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be held on Thursday, October 1, 2026.

This is the time and opportunity for all of us to get together and review what we have done so far and plan what we may like to accomplish next year. Also, we will receive information on current initiatives being taken up by NR group and PIPSC, along with an update on the status of bargaining, towards renewal of our collective agreement.

The group bargaining coordinator will be joining us to provide an update on the current status of bargaining and will also be available for a Q&A session, providing members with an opportunity to ask questions and discuss issues related to the bargaining process.

This is your Sub-Group, so come and get involved/participate.

At the AGM, we will also be electing new Executive Committee Members, whose term may be expiring, setting the course activities for next year and voting on the budget and expenses of our subgroup.  

Where: Montgomery Legion, 330 Kent St. Ottawa, On. K2P 2A6

When: Thursday, October 1, 2026 – 4pm to 7 pm ET

Proposed By-Law Amendment: In accordance with article 12.1.1 of the current by-laws of the

sub-group

  1. This is the notice for the current article 5.4 proposed to be amended as follows:

5.4 Signatures: Financial transactions shall require the signature of any two (2) executive membersof the Sub-Group,  who shall never be the beneficiaries of such payment transaction/cheque, either directly or indirectly. A maximum of six (6) executive members will have signing authority on any financial transaction which will include the President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer of the Sub-Group.  A written account shall be kept of all financial transactions and expenditures.

  • This is the notice for the current section “DEFINITIONS”, it is proposed to be amended by inserting following definition of “Financial Transaction”

Definitions: “Financial Transaction” means an agreement or activity, which directly changes the financial position of the assets and liabilities involved. These will include transactions like expense claim payment, travel claims payments, transfers, contract signings, etc.  

  • This is the notice for the current article 7.5 proposed to be amended as follows:

7.5 Members-at-Large: Members-at-Large shall perform such duties as may be assigned by the Executive. Executive may assign Two (2) members-at-large to coordinate “member engagement” and “managing meetings and events” activities for the sub-group.
