92% Participation Gives Your Bargaining Team a Strong Mandate
Thank you to everyone who completed our pre-bargaining survey. With 92% of members participating, you’ve helped set a record level of engagement and provided valuable direction for this round of bargaining.
Your feedback has helped identify the priorities that matter most to members, including:
- Fair compensation
- Work-life balance
- Career advancement
- A physically and psychologically safe workplace
Your bargaining team is using this feedback to develop bargaining proposals that reflect your priorities.
Notice to Bargain Submitted
On June 6, 2026, your bargaining team submitted the notice to bargain to the employer. Based on members’ survey responses, Arbitration was selected as the dispute resolution mechanism for this round of negotiations.
Since May, your bargaining team has:
- Participated in PIPSC collective bargaining training in Ottawa alongside other federal bargaining teams.
- Met virtually and in person on 4 occasions to prepare for negotiations.
- Continued developing bargaining proposals based on member feedback.
What’s next?
Your bargaining team will continue its work throughout the summer.
In the fall, we’ll host a virtual town hall to:
- Present our bargaining proposals.
- Explain the Arbitration process.
- Answer your questions.
- Have a topic to suggest? Let us know by writing to us.
You can also expect your next bargaining update to arrive in your personal (non-NFB) email inbox in early fall.
Why should I update my email?
To support the bargaining process and maintain appropriate communications throughout negotiations, future bargaining updates will be sent only to personal (non-NFB) email addresses.
If you haven’t already done so, please update your member profile with your personal email address.
