Your Rights. Your Workplace. Your Voice.

The Employer’s obligations pursuant to Article 22.02

The Employer must:

  • “Provide working accommodations and facilities” that meet the “special requirements” of information technology services
  • Do so “where economically and administratively feasible”
  • “Consult with the Institute” promptly when issues arise or improvements are needed

This article, unique to the IT Group collective agreement, ensures you have the tools, space, and environment required to perform IT work effectively and safely.

Why This Matters

IT work requires specialized tools, secure environments, reliable systems, and adequate workspace. When these needs are not met, it affects productivity, service quality, and member well‑being.

Your feedback helps the Institute ensure the Employer meets their obligations. Should you believe the Employer is not meeting its obligations under Article 22.02, do not hesitate to contact a steward for help in filing a grievance.
