Historic swearing in of the Right Honourable Mary Simon as Governor General

On behalf of PIPSC members, President Debi Daviau congratulated the Right Honourable Mary Simon on her swearing in as Canada’s new Governor General.

PIPSC members work at Rideau Hall. President Daviau offered her collaboration on measures that build relationships between management at the Office of the Governor General’s Secretary and workers.

The Governor General can count on PIPSC members’ dedication to Canadian public services. As the Governor General showcases Canada across the globe, we hope we can strengthen our reputation as one of the world’s most effective public services.

The Right Honourable Mary Simon can also count on our support in advocacy work to defend public services, Indigenous rights and culture, and our values of fairness and equity.
