CSC Pacific Health Services Subgroup Annual General Meeting 2026

This is a notice of our upcoming CSC Pacific Health Services Subgroup AGM, where we will be meeting for several reasons:

  1. To elect new members of the SH CSC Pacific Subgroup Executive
  2. To provide an Update on Collective Bargaining and Health Services issues
  3. To hold a Q & A with guest speaker 
  4. To vote on resolution of changing sub-group name and composition (see below)

 This is an excellent opportunity to get some information on your union activities and meet fellow health services members, even if you have never attended before.

Some of the  positions on the Subgroup Executive are up for election.  You are able to put your name forward as a candidate for a position and not be present at the meeting itself, however, you must be present in person at the meeting to vote for candidates (as per Bylaw 8.1.5 of the subgroup’s constitution).

  8. Guest Speaker – Selena Glover: SH Bargaining Chair and SH Group VP
  9. New Business i.  By-Law Amendments:

 Our by-law resolution is as follows:

 BY-LAW 1 NAME   The name of this Subgroup shall be the PIPSC SH CSC PACIFIC  Subgroup, hereinafter referred to as the “Subgroup”.   

BY-LAW 3 MEMBERSHIP   3.1 Every Regular member of the SH Group working for CSC in the Pacific Lower mainland BC region shall be a Regular member of the Subgroup. 3.2 Every Regular member of this Subgroup who becomes a retired member of the Institute and remains in the Pacific Lower mainland BC  region shall be a retired member of this Subgroup.   

Whereas our current subgroup only includes CSC members in the Pacific Region

Whereas there are many other underserved federal departments in the lower mainland BC region such as RCMP

Whereas the name of our subgroup is too generic in only using Pacific Region

Be it resolved that we expand our subgroup to include all departments in the lower mainland BC:

 BY-LAW 1 NAME:  The name of this Subgroup shall be the PIPSC SH CSC PACIFIC  Lower Mainland BC Subgroup, hereinafter referred to as the “Subgroup”.
