Hello WPEG Members,
Your bargaining team participated in a fourth session of negotiations with CNL from June 20 – 22, 2023.
During this session the parties continued to work on non-monetary improvements and monetary proposals including: increases to base salaries, increases to premiums and allowances. Discussions were held around professional standards, securing protection and benefits during lay-offs, and other issues. We are encouraged by the continued progress during these negotiations.
The next bargaining dates are scheduled for July. If you have any questions, concerns, or issues you would like us to bring up during negotiations, please email them to WPEG_questions@pipsc.ca.
Pension
Congratulations! As of June 18, 2023, all WPEG, WTEG and CRPEG employees are part of the CAAT DBplus Pension Plan. You will be receiving an individualized information package from CAAT. All members will be given 180 days after the transfer date to determine their course of action with their pension funds.
