RE Bargaining Update – The RE Bargaining Team and TBS exchanged proposals; both packages are available to review.

Published | Last updated 38 minutes ago

The real negotiations have begun!

The RE Bargaining Team held two full-day meetings with the Treasury Board and management representatives on September 23 and 24. Both sides presented their non-monetary proposals and placeholders, along with opening arguments and rationale. As usual, we will tackle pay and compensation later in the negotiations process.

The first session is an initial opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback. As bargaining progresses, we anticipate targeted discussion on key issues identified by RE members through the bargaining survey, including:

  • Telework
  • Conference attendance
  • Career development
  • Paid leave
  • Administrative burden

You can access the RE bargaining proposals here and the Employer proposals here.

Our next bargaining session with the Employer will take place on November 18 and 19. Keep an eye out for upcoming bargaining 101 webinars and bargaining updates!

Thank you for your continued support and engagement.
