The AGM is an important forum for NR Members to provide direction to your NR Executive.
Please note that all regular and retired members can attend the NR AGM.
NR AGM
In accordance with its By-Law 10, the NR Group will hold its 2026 Annual General Meeting on September 12, 2026, at the Ottawa City Centre Hotel, Ottawa, ON.
Reports from members of the Executive will be presented and group business will be discussed. All members of the group are eligible to attend and speak at the NR AGM. Only delegates shall be entitled to move or second motions or resolutions and to vote at Annual General Meetings.
The Institute encourages member participation by paying travel expenses for approved attendance at all authorized meetings and activities.
The NR Executive will make the final determination while respecting the geographical proportion of the membership. If you are selected to be a delegate at the NR AGM, you will be sent an invitation to attend. Members not selected for the NR AGM can request to be Observers and attend virtually.

PIPSC AGM
The PIPSC 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) is taking place in person on November 27 and 28, 2026, in Ottawa, ON. We will be putting together our NR delegation.
The AGM is a gathering of the PIPSC membership, represented by delegates whose purpose is to review and set the policy direction of the union. It’s a convention conducted under parliamentary rules where issues are presented, debated, and voted on by the delegates. PIPSC policy is set, monthly dues are determined, and the costs of running the organization are reviewed. The Institute encourages member participation by paying travel expenses for NR Delegation attendance.
If you are selected to be on the NR Delegation, you will be notified by email once the NR Executive has completed their selection. Members not selected for the PIPSC AGM can request to be Observers and attend virtually.
