NAV Canada Pension Plan A changes

Published | Last updated 1 hour ago

On March 26, 2026, members enrolled in NAV CANADA’s Pension Plan A received communication from the employer outlining changes to the way CPP2 is deducted from our paycheques.

Your PIPSC-NAV CANADA Executive has significant concerns that NAV Canada did not properly consult PIPSC on this change.

As such, we have taken 2 actions to deal with this.

  1. We have filed a policy grievance. Read the grievance here.
  2. We are participating with the NCBAA (NAV CANADA Bargaining Agents’ Association), which has hired a legal firm to pursue our interests. The NCBAA has prepared a joint statement which outlines these concerns in more detail. View the statement here.

We are also actively working with PIPSC pension specialists and our negotiator to assess next steps and ensure that members’ interests are fully protected through proper negotiations with the Employer.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
