The SP Group Bargaining Team met with Treasury Board on September 16 and 17. Both sides presented their proposals and had an opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification.
On September 16 and 17, your bargaining team, along with almost 3 dozen interested SP Group members, met with Treasury Board for the first time.
The SP Group presented our book of proposals, many of which your colleagues wrote at the Bargaining Conference in January 2026. For ease of analysis, we split up our book into:

The pay proposal will be presented at a future meeting.
Your bargaining team has committed to prioritizing meetings with the employer and is blocking out time to meet every 6 to 8 weeks. If Treasury Board wants to meet, your bargaining team will be ready to sit down and get to work.
While many aspects of bargaining are outside our control, we remain focused on what we can control: being prepared, united, responsive, and persistent in advocating for members’ priorities. We will keep members informed as the process progresses and key milestones are reached through email, posts on the PIPSC website, and short Zoom meetings.
