On September 29, 2026, the Institute served notice to the Employer of its intention to commence collective bargaining to revise the CFIA Veterinary Medicine (VM) Group’s collective agreement.
At the same time, following consultation with VM members, the Bargaining team formally selected binding arbitration as its dispute resolution method in the event of an impasse.
Thank you to all members who participated in the consultation. Your input helped inform the team’s decision as we move into the next round of bargaining.
