The Quebec Region Executive is issuing a call for expressions of interest to fill the seven (7) positions on the Quebec Region Youth Committee, including the position of Chair, for a two (2)-year term beginning January 1, 2027.
Candidates must be members in good standing of the Quebec Region and be under 38 years of age as of January 1, 2027.
Committee Mandate:
The committee’s primary purpose is to raise awareness among young members and foster their interest in the union movement, as well as to recruit the next generation of union stewards. Its other objectives are to provide advice and recommendations on issues affecting young members, propose innovative ideas to the Quebec Region Executive, and analyze the demographics of the newest generation of workers. The committee may also be called upon to work on matters arising from generational issues affecting young members.
Interested individuals must submit a statement of interest (maximum 250 words) outlining their interest, experience, and what they hope to contribute to the committee. They must also clearly indicate whether they wish to be considered for the position of Chair.

The Quebec Region Executive will select the committee members and Chair, taking into consideration factors including motivation, gender parity, diversity, and geographic representation.
