AGM
The Bathurst subgroup will host their AGM on October 8th, Remi is organizing this. The Branch will have their AGM on the same night following the subgroup AGM. Regional Director Marc Bellefleur and IT President Robert Scott will be invited as guests for this event. There will be voting for the Branch Vice President and Secretary positions. The Subgroup will cover the cost of the venue location and the Branch will cover the cost of the meals.
Presidents Meeting
The president’s meeting was to be held prior to the Atlantic regional council but there was a rally being held in Halifax and all the presidents attended this rally to show support.
The prospect of the enhanced steward recognition as previously mentioned by Mike Pauley, has still not been addressed at this time. The northern branch still needs to decide if we will be participating.
Atlantic Regional Council
105 members attended ARC this year. Pascale gave a brief overview of the events that took place over the 2 day council.
The email for a delegate and registration for the ARC was not sent until the last minute and on a holiday (good Friday). Gilles unsure as to why this happened.
Open Forum
There are currently 195 members in the Northern Branch. This is the most members ever reported.
A cheque was issued to Gilles for $XXX to cover the cost of the GC’s purchased for the AGM.
