The PIPSC Kingston Branch is proud to invite you to be part of Kingston’s Labour Day Parade and Community Celebration — a celebration of workers, our collective strength, and the impact we have in our communities.
Hosted at McBurney Park (Skeleton Park) on Monday, September 7th, this year’s event promises to be a vibrant, family-friendly day filled with energy, solidarity, and community spirit.

🕙 Parade Departure: 10:00 a.m.
📍 Meeting Point: PIPSC Kingston Branch Booth (please arrive early)
We ask that you stop by the PIPSC Kingston Branch booth before 10:00 a.m. to gather with our group. From there, we will assemble and march together in the parade. Flags, balloons, and other materials will be available to help us show a strong and united presence.
Members are encouraged to wear blue colours to proudly represent PIPSC. A limited number of t-shirts will also be available while supplies last.
The parade will travel through the city and return to the park, where the celebration continues with a lively community market and festival atmosphere. Attendees can enjoy:
- Live music throughout the day, including performances by local union musicians and returning favourites
- Guest speakers from across the labour movement
- Family-friendly activities, including games and a bouncy castle
- Ice cream, refreshments, bbq
- A welcoming space to connect with fellow union members and the broader community
The community market is free for our members (reusable shopping bags are recommended). In previous years, items available have included school supplies, fresh vegetables, fruit, breads, and other market goods.
