To colleagues at NRCan who are moving to ECCC
Dear colleagues and friends,
I take this opportunity to extend a warm welcome to you!
Transition can have its challenges. I have been providing a number of suggestions to ECCC management to facilitate the transition as they implement the July 27 Order in Council, of which we learned about in May.
I have since reached out to Associate ADM Judy Meltzer, DG Ben Copp and ED Anna van der Kamp to offer the assistance of the union to employees involved in this transition.
I have been assured that you are being kept informed and provided opportunities to share any concerns that you might have and management would try their best to address them.
Often, employees use their union to communicate their concerns to senior management where they either feel uncomfortable doing so directly or wish to stay anonymous. Please rest assured that you can share with me your concerns in full confidence, and I will attempt to resolve them by raising them with senior management.
If you have any questions, concerns or suggestions, please do not hesitate to ask me, or reach out to any PIPSC steward at ECCC. Please rest assured that your identity and any confidential information will not be disclosed without your permission.
