SC members are invited to march with us in the Halifax Pride Parade  in support of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

This year, PIPSC will be joining the Nova Scotia Federation of Labour (NSFL) and will be marching alongside fellow union members from organizations such as CAPE, PSAC, and others. Family members and friends are welcome to participate as well. We hope you’ll join us for this celebration of diversity, inclusion, and solidarity!

We are also pleased to be joined by Katie Francis, one of PIPSC’s Full-Time Vice-Presidents and a member of the Institute’s Board of Directors.

Katie Francis is currently in her three-year term, helping to guide the strategic direction of PIPSC and advance key initiatives on behalf of members. Her portfolios include Return-to-Office (RTO), Phoenix, and Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI). Looking forward to seeing you there!

Parade Date: Saturday, July 18, 2026

Location: Parade Mustering Grounds – 5775 Cogswell St., Halifax, NS. Our parade spot is C24, and you will find us in the parade mustering grounds, which are located along Cogswell Street, between Robie Street and North Park Street.

Time: We will start gathering at 11:00 am. The parade starts at noon, but it’s important that volunteers are in place ahead of that time.

Additional Info: Make sure to dress for the weather, pack a reusable water bottle, plenty of sunscreen and a hat.
