We are writing to let you all know, our fondly remembered PIPSC AFS Steward, Christine Freeman, passed away on April 22, 2026.
For those of you who may not have met her, Christine was known to always offer her help and share her experiences with a colorful smile.
In 1995, Christine began her journey as a passionate dedicated union activist holding positions of Secretary, Vice-President, and President of the PIPSC AFS Winnipeg & Southern Manitoba Branch, as well as Secretary, Treasurer, and Vice- President of the PIPSC AFS Winnipeg Sub-Group Executive. In addition, Christine was a member of the Bylaws and Policies committee and acted as Parliamentarian for the Prairie Region. She will be remembered and deeply missed.
