We are saddened to share the passing of a longtime member and dedicated volunteer Ranjit Kumar Dhar.
Ranjit served members for decades in a variety of roles, including Sub-Group President of NR-4900 Yonge, Chair of the AP Sub-Group, and Member-at-Large. He also contributed to multiple bargaining teams, bringing experience and a steady voice in support of fair outcomes for members.
A steward from 1984 until his retirement in 2013, Ranjit was deeply committed to supporting his colleagues. He remained active through his work on regional and national union-management consultation teams, the Regional Occupational Health and Safety Committee, and as a mobilizer in retirement.
Ranjit will be remembered for his dedication, professionalism, and quiet leadership, and for the lasting impact he had on those around him.
He will be missed.
