Our current collective agreement is set to expire on April 30, 2026, and preparations for the next round of bargaining are well underway. The bargaining team was formed this past summer and since then, the team has met several times to begin shaping our priorities and preparing for negotiations.
To date, we’ve held five (5) planning meetings. These sessions were focused on developing our initial proposals and building the member survey that will help guide our bargaining priorities.
The survey questions have now been completed and are currently being vetted and prepared by PIPSC. We expect the survey to be sent out to members in the coming weeks, and your participation will be critical in ensuring the bargaining team is representing your needs and concerns at the table.
On January 15–16, the full bargaining team, along with PIPSC negotiators John Ehinger and Denise Doherty, participated in formal bargaining training. This training strengthened our understanding of the process and helped prepare us for the work ahead.
Over the next few months, we will continue our bargaining preparations and will be filing our official notice to bargain with NAV CANADA. We’ll keep you updated every step of the way.
In solidarity,
NAV CANADA PIPSC Bargaining Team
