2017 Activities

Executive Meetings – meetings were held to discuss various issues facing the Branch. Topics included planning activities and the AGM, ways to encourage more active membership, more and better use of PIPSC resources, such as the e-Learning products.

Ontario Region Council (April) – Branch President attended the ORC at Caesars Windsor, along with Tom Doherty.

AFS Annual General Meeting (June) – Branch President attended the AFS Group AGM in Quebec City.

Ontario Stewards Council (September) – A number of stewards from the Branch attended the OSC in Toronto.

Branch AGM (November) – A joint AGM for the Branch and the local AFS Sub-Group was held. Guest speakers from “We Own It” attended.

We also provided some funding for our members in JCC to have a breakfast and learn for RMT Week in November.

Issues and Concerns

Engagement with all members of our Branch, particularly those who aren’t from CRA, continues to be an ongoing challenge.
