on PEI.

Phoenix

                Nix Phoenix campaign ramping up at PIPSC.

Employer is piloting processing pay using a holistic approach. At VAC project reduced cases from 10,000 to 6,900.

Mental Health

Doreen: Wednesday tip shared. New wellness code in GCHR for committees to work on transition to EWSP

Elections

Craig Bradley presided over the elections.

  • Anthony McAndrew was nominated for Member at Large and accepted a 2 year term.
  • Daniel Arsenault was nominated for Member at Large and accepted a 2 year term.
  • Sandy Anderson was nominated for Member at Large and accepted a 2 year term.
  • Keir Malone was nominated for Member at Large and accepted a 2 year term.
  • Andrew Cudmore was nominated for Member at Large and accepted a 2 year term.
  • Scott Weeks was nominated for Member at Large and accepted a 1 year term.
  • Tyler Harris was nominated for Member at Large and accepted a 1 year term.
  • Craig MacEwen was nominated for Member at Large and accepted a 1 year term.

Guest Speakers

Stan Buday – CS Group President.

Bargaining: Provided a recap of the last round of bargaining. Planning for next round started in January. Decision will have to be made on conciliation or arbitration.

 Contracting out: Big push for getting information on contracts. They are being challenged. 75 grievances have been filed so far.

Reclassification for IT in government in discussions.

Lucille Shears – Membership Officer.

                13600 CS members across Canada.

Implemented virtual binders to better organize events.

Donna Myers: Can we get the process that needs to be followed in order to get your actual pay (from Management through HR to Phoenix) to reflect the work you’ve been assigned to do?

Action item: Doreen investigate what can be found.
